In an era defined by large-scale conflicts, ecological crises, and the rise of authoritarianism, global trust in the (self)governance of humanity has plummeted to historic lows. Yet, in the shadow of these crises, quietly and almost unnoticed, humanity has developed the tools for unprecedented global cooperation. These advancements take the form of a sociotechnological system, built upon collaborative digital and social technology, now ready to be adapted on a global scale.
The recent leap in technological advancement, especially in remote collaboration software during the COVID-19 lockdowns, presents a unique opportunity. When paired with social technology that has been scientifically analyzed and refined since the ancient Greeks first explored our societal mechanisms, the potential is transformative. The resulting sociotechnological system has already seen successful implementation across diverse contexts—ranging from worker cooperatives and municipal governance to recent ministry-level applications, most notably since Taiwan’s Sunflower Revolution.
What Will This Look Like in Practice?
Most people are already familiar with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, which integrate, monitor, and control business and production processes in real time. Now, imagine enhancing that framework with democratic decision-making tools like Loomio and Pol.is, empowering people to participate directly in decisions that have traditionally been controlled by management or centralized authorities—authorities that often profit from maintaining an unequal market position.
By extending this platform to the governance and political spheres, we could manage broader societal processes with complete transparency and participation. Every decision and procedure would be open to scrutiny, allowing the community to contribute their needs, knowledge, and skills. This openness would not only eliminate opportunities for undetected corruption but also eradicate inefficiencies in the economy by leveraging collective intelligence.
Incorporating principles such as open data, open access, liquid democracy, and a performance-based credit system, this platform would evolve into a universal, democratic worker cooperative. Harnessing fundamental market mechanisms like economies of scale, perfect competition, and network effects, the system would rapidly move toward achieving universal market advantage. This would result in the efficient allocation of resources, unlocking diverse talents and optimizing outcomes for all participants.
The software and hardware required to make this vision a reality are already available and ready for expansion. By scaling and refining these tools, we can capitalize on synergies arising from network effects, economies of scale, and efficient information markets. The outcome? A system capable of organizing and channeling the individual and collective creative potential of humanity toward sustainable individual and collective well-being on an unprecedented scale.
By integrating the full spectrum of viewpoints, expertise, and needs into decision-making processes, society will achieve a level of collaboration and synergy previously unimaginable. Competition will be redefined, encouraging the sharing of information and resources while maximizing efficiency and respecting planetary boundaries.
At this level of societal cohesion, civil wars and international conflicts will become relics of the past. Instead of being driven by divisiveness, humanity will embark on ambitious projects like space exploration, guided not by the conflicts of "Star Wars" but by the curiosity and unity of "Star Trek."

Here a Framework comprised of existing software that should be able to manage all kinds of societal processes:
Fediverse Protocol: Register people and connect them to build a genuine social (trust) network.
Synergy with other parts of the platform (economic participation, local governance) will make modern integrity measures effective to keep out bots and trolls.

1. Seed Project - Communitybuy / Consumer Cooperative
A platform that enables groups of people to collectively decide on and purchase products based on shared needs. Imagine a community discussing and agreeing on a specific product they want, such as a smartphone that balances quality and affordability. By pooling their demand and negotiating collectively, they can achieve better deals, using fundamental market mechanisms like economy of scale to their advantage.
But it doesn't stop there. If the community repeatedly buys a product, and one of its members gains insider knowledge about the supply chain—like a cheaper component price—that information can be integrated into future purchases. The community doesn’t just source the final product together; it begins to identify and negotiate for each part, optimizing the product to their precise needs while driving down costs.
As this community grows, their ability to collectively influence the market increases, challenging oligarchic control and authoritarian influences. Through collaboration, transparency, and shared economic power, they become a democratic force, reshaping the production and distribution landscape to serve their collective interest.
